Palin believes if a woman is raped, she should NOT be allowed to abort
From the 2006 AK gov debate:

http://dwb.adn.com/news/politics/elections/2006/governor/story/8372383p-8266781c.html

The candidates were pressed on their stances on abortion and were even asked what they would do if their own daughters were raped and became pregnant.

Palin said she would support abortion only if the mother's life was in danger. When it came to her daughter, she said, "I would choose life."

Both Knowles and Halcro are pro-choice. Halcro said the government needs to stay out of life-or-death issues.

Knowles, responding to the scenario involving his daughter, said he would counsel her and talk to her, but it would be her decision. "I would love her and support her no matter what decision she made," he said.

2. She is so incredibly far out of the mainstream on just about everything.
Total extremist.

5. I am staunchly pro-choice, and have no personal moral problem with abortion, but

I could never figure out why pro-lifers had a loophole for "conception from rape or incest". Then one day, a few months ago, it hit me. Duh.. Their crusade isn't against the abortion of fetuses-as-potential-humans. It's about controlling women through women's sexuality, about punishing women for having sex.

This exception gives away pro-lifers' motivations. If they really cared about the "rights" of a fetus, and believed it to be a person, and that to abort it constituted murder, they wouldn't have a loophole.

So, at least she's consistent.

I find her revolting, nonetheless.

When it came to her daughter, "I" would choose life.

Like her daughter is her property, and has no say in the matter.
