Nobody really watched them besides the hardcore junkies like the freepers and we here on DU.
Because Joe average would rather watch reality TV than a presidential debate.
I remember watching the Cheney/Edwards debate that even less people watched.

Her addition to the Repuke ticket may in fact draw more viewers to the VP debate and that ("My Friends"..McCain ) is a good thing.
Biden will own the debate,and she well be exposed for what she truly is,and that is a very under qualified garnish.

If they're trying to win by turning Palin into "the lady next door", I don't think it will work. For most of us, the "lady next door" is not qualified for high national office, however great of a mom she is.

If the media really wants to pimp Palin, they should focus on somethng that has to do with her prospective office. In fact, focusing on her motherhood could work against her. She just had a special-needs child four months ago and now she abandons him to run a time-consuming campaign for high office?
