Anchorage TV Station: Sarah Palin Was "Definitely Pregnant" With Trig

The Huffington Post's Lee Strahan interviewed the reporter that appears in the picture used as evidence that Sarah Palin was pregnant with her son, Trig.

Her name is Cherie Shirey, seen in the picture holding a microphone:



Cherie said: "These internet rumors are very bizarre. We worked with Governer Palin many times in 2008. Our reporters worked her on location and in the studio and I worked with her myself. She was definitely pregnant. You could see it in her belly and her face. The whole idea that Sarah Palin wasn't pregnant with Trig is completely, absolutely absurd. "

"It's a KTVA reporter in this picture with Governor Palin. Shirey confirmed the photo was taken in April, 2008", the Huffington Post reports.

And since her daughter is 5 months pregnant now, I think the case is closed. The baby can't be Bristol's.

As much as anything else, it's a way of showing off the pregnant belly. And not to paint people with too broad a brush but it seems that Asians are less inclined to show off than are Westerners.

My hands were either on top of my belly, under it, on my sides or on my back because I hurt so much. Because my belly was always too big to put my arms around it comfortably by the time I was in my seventh and eighth month, much less the nineth and tenth. Yes, there is a tenth month.

"As much as anything else...." Some women like to show off their bellies. Nothing wrong with that. It's exciting to know you're going to bring a new life into the world. Some women do it because it's a natural place for the hands to fall or because of aching back or abdominal muscles.

In the case of the photo of Bristol Palin holding her belly, backstage, at her mother's debut as McCain's running mate, I suspect it was not to show off, since she had done everything possible to hide it, that day.

She never showed a bit for 7 months, then suddenly there was her "belly." Or was it just another contrivance by a very deceptive and media savvy governor?

A 44-year old woman, with a history of four previous pregnancies, traveled many hours by commercial airliner, after an amniotic fluid leak, then drove another 50 miles to a small, outlying hospital, with no NICU, to deliver a one-month premature, high risk baby.

And, three days later, she left her special needs baby in the hospital to return to work in the capitol, more than 800 miles away. She exposed her child to terrible danger and demonstrated unspeakably deficient mothering skills.

Nobody in their right mind could ever want her finger anywhere near the proverbial button. And that McCain would pick her has to call into question his ability to make sound decisions in the best interest of this country.

Someone started the rumor and everyone ran with it. Like most gossip, it was wrong and everyone was wrong to carry it on. Now everyone needs to drop it.

March 14 photo with heavy contrast via photoshop, sorry about the wash out at the top, I wanted clear contrast on the jacket and the skirt. Notice she's leaning backwards which should cause a very definable bulge in the belly if those April 14 photos are correct. She doesnt go from flat to huge in a month.
