Ambinder: Palin part of AIP "infiltration"? Has tape instructing members to infiltrate main parties
This is getting serious now. Ambinder has tapes showing AIP leaders praising Palin in one breath and in the same meeting talking about 'infiltration' strategy.

Remember all of the nutjobs talking about McCain being a 'Manchurian' candidate?.

Looks like we got a twofer.

http://marcambinder.theatlantic.com/archives/2008/09/the_alaska_independence_party.php

AIP members must "infiltrate" -- his words -- the other two parties and push for the cause of Alaskan independence

The Alaska Independence Party calls itself the third largest organization in the United States. Its platform calls for the defense of "states rights," to "seek the complete repatriation of the public lands, held by the federal government, to the state and people of Alaska in conformance with Article 1, Section 8, Clause 17, of the federal constitution."

Basically, the AIP wants a vote on secession. According to the organizations' website. "hough it is widely thought to be a secessionist movement, the Party makes great effort to emphasize that its primary goal is merely a vote on secession, something that Party advocates say Alaskans were denied during the founding of the state."

The AIP says that Gov. Sarah Palin used to be a member of the party. Earlier this year, Palin recorded a welcoming address to the AIP's convention.

Her greeting is innocuous enough. And an Alaskan political consultant tells me that the AIP is a marginally accepted part of the political culture there.

At the AIP's meeting, the AIP's vice chairman, Dexter Carter, extols Gov. Palin's virtues. He recalls Palin's service as a member of the party at about six minutes in to this clip.

Mr, Carter says that AIP members must "infiltrate" -- his words -- the other two parties and push for the cause of Alaskan independence.

A McCain spokesperson did not respond to a request for comment.

However I've watched a few Luis Bunuel movies, and I'm sure he's somewhere regretting he didn't live long enough to be able to use this material

8. Anybody know what town in Idaho
the college she went to was in? I come from Montana and boy up there in Idaho especially by Coeur d'Alene, there were some real whack jobs. They were this sect of racist Christians that wanted to take a triangular section out of the US and turn it into their own country. They were big into their weapons too. In fact, I had limited interaction with their "cult" while I was in college at the University of Montana. The Drama Dept. did a play about another White Supremacist group called "The Order" and a spree of Armored Car robberies they pulled off. The play was called God's Country, and these nutjobs from up in Couer d'Alene came down to defend their beliefs and also to prosthelytize. They did question and answer sessions after each production. I was a theater major, so I was exposed to way more of them than was comfortable, that's for sure! They were really weird. I wonder if this AIP is connected to any seriously whacky shit like that?

18. hmmmm I wonder where those whackadoodle "Christians"
were from? Then, this other time on campus some really freaky Baptists were there. They had put signs on the kids that were traveling with them that said stuff like, "God hates Fags!" and stuff like that. Now, the even weirder thing is that the same group likes to go and protest outside of military bases. They were here at Fort Campbell awhile back I guess. There sure are a lot of people out there that like to wrap their hate in "Christianity".

I don't think they really have much pull anymore, after they declared bankruptcy. Still there are a lot of extremists, isolationists, white separatists and other kooks in that part of Idaho.

It was really creepy.
