Hemmer, to McCain: "Was Barry Goldwater with those Bee Gees guys?"
I just watched an interview Bill "Ken" Hemmer did with John McCain last night, after the convention and the Moore incident. I can't even recall Hemmer's question, but McCain responded by saying "Remember Barry Goldwater?"

LOL! Hemmer, remember Barry Goldwater? John, sir, part of the problem is that the children you are talking to were still playing with Legos when Reagan was president...they don't have clue about political history. They think corporate media whoring for the potus is the way it always has been.

The corporate media broadcasting this convention is the worst I have ever, ever seen. It is SOOOOOO glaringly obvious...at the DNC, every one of CNN's "pundits" was actually from the REPUBLICAN party, and skewered every dem message delivered; whereas now, every "pundit" is STILL a member of the republican party, now using his/her air time to reiterate and emphasize the clip the talking heads just showed -- for the twentieth time.

America, we've fallen, and I fear we can't get up.

1. Barry Goldwater wouldn't be supporting Bush today
Edited on Tue Aug-31-04 08:24 AM by RatTerrier
He loathed the fundies, and split with the party over gay rights, Roe vs. Wade and other wedge issues. He privately supported Clinton against Poppy Bush in '92, publicly endorsed a pro-choice Dem candidate at the same time, and ruffled a few GOP feathers. Bush's economic performance would be enough to make Goldwater publicly support Kerry.
