newsmax - kerry girLs on VMAs
1. Boo Time for Kerry Kids

Then the Bush twins, Jenna and Barbara, arrived via satellite. They had a similar message, but the audience was quieter, although some scattered booing did occur.

The Kerry pair talked again, and the boos grew louder. When they asked for a vote for their father, the jeers almost drowned them out. Some cheers could be heard, but the boos won the night.

The Left Coast Report suspects that the DNC will reconsider its youth get-out-the-vote drive and return to pursuing votes of illegal aliens, felons and dead people.

1. Let them believe
You know, I think it's great when the Pug media fall for their own delusions. Let them think they have it wrapped up. That's a really stupid strategy.

4. WaPo's take on it is in this post:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=104x2290429

Apparently, the broadcast 'ambient audience' sound was turned down when the film of the Bush* twins was shown, so who knows if the audience was booing? Most of the time, this is the case.

This reminds me of the hubbub over Michael Moore's speech at the Oscars (I think it was the Oscars) where it's said the booing in the audience wasn't as loud there as it was on TV.

And let's not forget the whole 'Dean scream' debacle, where the feed from the mic was pumped up while those who were in the room didn't even know what the fuss was about later.

It's all in how the sound engineer determines how the rest of the world perceives the noise. Perception ain't reality.

7. that's how i perceived it

8. I'd be pissed if it was anything new from Newsmax
and its ilk, but it isn't. Hell, I grew up and spent much of my life near Cincinnati. The Cincinnati Enquirer -- which is considered mainstream -- has said the same kinds of things for the past twenty years, over and over, just not in so many words. Comes from growing up in fReepville, I guess. For instance, any time anybody raised any questions about the validity of the votes in Florida in 2000 in Cincinnati, you could guaran-damn-tee any Republican within five miles would rush from whatever s/he was doing to come and remind you that there were also questions about the validity of the votes in Chicago when Kennedy beat Nixon.

fReep-speak, to me, is like a noisy refrigerator -- I notice it once in a while, but mostly I'm so used to it after all this time, it becomes a background murmur.

11. The Kerry girls are class acts. Don't mention them in the same sentence
as Newsmax or Jenna and Barbara.

12. I got home in time
from a fund raiser last nite to catch Arnold, the twins and Laura. BLAH!!! Simplistic and giggling, the girls reflected the women in the pug party. Arnold sounded mostly like a DEM.
