1. I was thinking all day that Gibson had
his own honor at stake in this. If he just coddled her, he would
become a laughing stock. He wasn't going to let that happen.

That's what the saddest part is. Russert would have caused her to be dropped from the ticket the next day for family reasons.

3. Yeah. I didn't think Gibson would go too easy on her, either
Especially after his Sept. 3rd interview with McCain, which was pretty aggressive.
