She'll probably ace tomorrow, and become the darling once again.

The media is fickle. The plan may have been to get the hardest stuff out of the way first. I'm not going to crow or anything like that. I mistrust all of this, and wouldn't be a bit surprise if the media was singing Sarah praises tomorrow and all through the week-end. The simple folks will only remember the last thing that they saw and heard.

Just a warning of caution. Don't get too happy just yet.

1. I was just thinking the same thing.
Looks like they got the tough stuff out of the way today.

Unless they are planning to ask about the corruption or her crazy religious beliefs, both of which I doubt, she's pretty much in the clear now.

2. Noted Frenchie
But tonight was the big night. Friday is a weekday media cycle and Saturday is not. In addition, that Cat 3 Hurricane Ike will be hitting hard tomorrow evening diluting the interview. Also, Friday nights are bad for TV ratings.

9. Plus, the issue of basic competence is put out there now.
Also, the media bubble around her seemed to deflate alot, if not pop.

3. Tonight will get the highest ratings and make the first impression.
Just look at Obama's interview with O'Reilly. Huge ratings, the first night. Nights 2 and 3 got lower ratings and not much attention.

She may get better but tonight did some damage.

17. Don't ask me...I haven't seen it.
I'm not into giving my ratings to just anybody.....ABC still sucks, no matter what they do now.

do yourself a favor and don't watch it. At least if you want to sleep tonight. She really is dumber than Bush. Really. :scared:

6. Saw Chris Matthews turn AGAIN today
Her responses were nutty, but because they were less nutty than the current idiots...that was GREAT!

Way to go, Matthews! He calls himself a 'journalist'. Bobby Heenan did the same, but we all knew the joke.

8. I don't think so...
I hope I'm not being played... but I've been watching lots of MSM lately... just to see what is being seen... and I'm getting the feeling that the MSM is genuinely offended by the Palin thing, in one way or another.

I don't know if it's being caught with their pants down (probably not). I personally think it has to do with having such a great story withheld.

Whatever the case... it seems like the MSM has been more willing than usual to bash Palin. Hell, some are outright calling Palin's bridge shite a "lie".
I was worried about Gibson at first, after the flag pin shit in the debates... but even he was rolling his eyes.

I hesitate to hope she looks so bad in the next bit of the interviews when they get aired... but so far so bad.
Whatever the case... I don't get any impression of any interest in being particularly kind to Palin, after the way the McCain camp kept her out of touch for the media when her star was biggest.

12. Frenchie, likely this interview was taped at one time and played in pieces over a few days.
Edited on Thu Sep-11-08 11:48 PM by Writer
So I don't think she will be any different tomorrow.

Edit to add: At least I think that's the case here.

20. That's what I assumed too. Like Obama's interview with Bill-O, done all at once
but aired over 2 days. ??

22. Yes,because a candidate cannot spend his/her days doing a few interviews with one person.
It has to be handled at once; however, ABC Nightly News does not have enough time to incorporate the entire interview, so it will be broken into segments.

14. Don't think so...if Charlie continues to do his job that is
She has a big pile of dung to answer for in Alaska. A lot of her fans don't even realize she is being investigated. If all he does is push her on the TrooperGate allegations and her refusal to give evidence to investigators, she'll look bad again, feisty control freak that she is.
