80 million viewers.... Jim Lehrer... Barack Obama... and an empty chair
...for 90 minutes.


Basically, a 90 minute "interview" with Barack Obama and Lehrer. I say that Obama opens it up to audience questions.


80 million viewers... for 90 minutes. To himself.... with no GOP rebuttal.


Sounds delicious to me.

I believe that McCain is going to announce that the sides are close to agreement and that his work in DC is finished and will fly into Mississippi at the last minute. All of the channels will be watching as he arrives 20 minutes before the event and as his car arrives.

He will arrive 5 minutes before it starts gets miked up and goes into the debate.

He has a lousy debate - no surprise - but his excuse is set for him. He was busy on other things.

I even expect the following sentence "Sorry what was the question I was thinking about something else."
