1. I'm really interested to hear people's opinion because
the whole thing makes my head spin; I really don't know what is better, the fact that Bush thinks it's the "right thing to do" is a huge strike against it IMO!

7. Oh for sure it's just that nagging sense of the law of averages
Doesn't he have to be right ONCE? Just statistically speaking?

9. That's how I see it
I'm against what Bush wants - maybe a new New Deal would have to emerge, forcing people to be helped with health care and making the tax system more progressive.

Otherwise, the Democrats should not cave on one important thing they are asking for.

2. I need to read what the bill says first
and would like to hear from Frank and Dodd a bit more. I wish a draft was available online.

13. Ask all the billionares to pool together $700 billion and give it to whoever.
I know, I know, too "radical."

But if I were king of the Dems, that is exactly what I would suggest.

"If the billionares of America are concerned, then surely they can come up with $700 billion dollars without asking middle class tax payers to do it. Where are they when they need each other?

I know, I know, swing voters & moderates would despise such talk. LOL.
