Devastating day for McCain/Palin. The media is laughing at both of them.
The Letterman cancellation fiasco and Palin's bizarre Russia comments in the Couric interview have been played and replayed over and over again today with most everyone mocking, criticizing and laughing at them. Killer.

13. I think Letterman was the turning point
Dave was NOT joking when he was ripping McChicken apart last night. It was true, it was funny, but he wasn't joking. And Evita Mooselini just scares the living crap out of people.

15. Indeed. Letterman is pissed. McCain lied to him.
That incident could be McCain's macaca moment.

2. Right. On MSNBC this afternoon the anchorman started laughing at the
mccain spokesman when he was going on about mccain answering "that 3 a.m. call" and rushing back to Washington. I mean the reporter just started laughing right over the guy and so did the Obama spokesman. It was priceless.

6. I can imagine how funny it is connecting the 3 AM call to McSame's cancellations.
and Obama walking in and chewing gum at the same time!

8. OMG. That WAS HILARIOUS
McLame stoolie: "well, it just says that when that 3 a.m. phone call comes..."

Anchorman (and other guest in tandem): "It's gonna say MAAAAAAAAKE-UP!" (running joke on old Milton Berle show)

Cut to: pic of McLame being made up in front of Couric.

Thanks, gratefultobelib. I'd forgotten about that!

7. NBC's Brian Williams played a clip of Couric's interview with Palin and it was painful to watch
Although, I enjoyed it. :evilfrown: Chuck Todd and Williams were both critical. It was great to see.

She is now becoming a serious liability to McCain.

I think we're going to win though..I cheered up someone at work tonight who thought we weren't 'cause they don't have all this inside access on DU:)

"I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because, uh, some, people out there in our nation don't have maps and, uh, I believe that our, uh, education like such as, uh, South Africa and, uh, the Iraq, everywhere like such as, and, I believe that they should, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S., uh, or, uh, should help South Africa and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries, so we will be able to build up our future, for our..."

"It's very important when you consider even national security issues with Russia as Putin rears his head and comes into the air space of the United States of America, where ... where do they go? It's Alaska. It's just right over the border. It is ... from Alaska that we send those out to make sure that an eye is being kept on this very powerful nation, Russia, because they are right there. They are right next to ... to our state."
