"Putin rears his head and comes into the air space of the United States of America"?

:wtf:

As limited as Sarah Palin is in her foreign policy experience, how would she even KNOW if Putin has "reared his head in our air space."? This just gets more bizarre as the days go on.

You know, it's almost like she's telling her child a bedtime story. The way she does her hands and face.

We need a "Palin Dictionary" just to know what she is saying:freak:

3. When Palin was saying this disjointed
Edited on Thu Sep-25-08 11:34 PM by TwoSparkles
"When Putin reared his head in our air space" nonsense, she had these bizarre hand movements. Her
fingers were moving, as if her fingers were a plane...with Putin in it...flying...in Alaska airspace.

It was freaky.

She reminded me of that Progressive Insurance chick, "Flo."

Maybe Sarah Palin just needs a big, tricked-out name tag.

8. bad, bad

I almost feel sorry for her. But I don't think she really believes she's doing this bad. Surely not. How can someone go on like this, KNOWING they are NOT qualified for this position. Hell, some of us here at DU are more qualified if that be that case.

12. The fact that she is even on a national ticket....
...reflects the depth of stupidity this country has reached. If people aren't scared shitless that this person could actually have her finger on the button, then they are brain-dead.

14. So..

When was the last time soviet aircraft overflew Alaska's airspace? That kind of event isn't even reported these days.

I don't really get the drama, I know Texas governors routinely deal with Mexico at some level. I would assume Alaska would have dealings with Canada and Russia.. Just as states like New York have dealings with Canada.

But a first term Governor probably wouldn't have had opportunity in that short time for very much of those dealings besides what she said... a few corporate trade missions.

And I would certainly hope we have more than the Alaska National Guard intercepting Russian flyovers..
