My prediction on tonight's debate
1. The debate will happen. McCain and the GOP are not going to let Obama have an exclusive and free televised forum.

2. McCain will lose badly against an opponent many believe isn't a good debater. (Despite his performance in some of the primary debates, Obama will be quick and sharp tonight)

3. The GOP, conservative media, and McCain camp will spin McCain's loss as him being unprepared because he spent "days" trying to "solve the country's financial woes."

4. Post-debate polling will indicate the American people believe, in large numbers, that McCain and the GOP are mostly to blame for the bailout deal breaking down.

Like many of you, I'll be at a debate watch party tonight - but mine will also include quite a few Republicans. I'll report back on their comments later this evening.

1. I wonder if McCain called the WH meeting to interrupt Obama's preparation.

2. Looking forward to hearing Republican reactions
Also looking forward to seeing McCain come huffing and puffing into the debate studio, like he ran all the way down from DC

3. Please do report back. Most rethugs I know I no longer talk to, so
I'll be curious.

And since foreign policy is supposedly where McLame shines, if he loses badly, he has no where to go from here. Too bad, isn't it.

6. Do you think McCain isn't prepared because he can't conform his own will to the demands of this
(and other past) situation(s)?

7. I agree, except change # 3 to:
3. The GOP, conservative media, and McCain camp will spin Obama's win as he spent "days" preparing for a debate instead of "solving the country's financial woes."

10. they will probably say both, as they will pretty much say ANYTHING to boost
McCain and trash Obama. I feel like they are getting to be pretty transparent to most folks though.

9. Barack Obama Sandbagged in the Primary Debates
I know not many of us in Illinois bothered to watch his debates with Keyes, but he's a much better debater for the most part than we saw in the primaries.
