This Week To Broadcast McCain Town Hall

Sen. John McCain has wanted to hold town halls with Sen. Barack Obama. It doesn't look like that's happening, but he will be joined by George Stephanopoulos for one.

ABC's This Week will hold a live town hall meeting with McCain on September 28, taking place in Columbus, OH.

Invitations for the presidential candidates have been outstanding since May 4, after This Week held a town hall meeting with Sen. Hillary Clinton. ABC's press release says, "The Obama campaign is still considering the request."

1. I really think it's funny...they're great at avoiding debate and creating debate where there is none
Look at the Republican pundits...Limbaugh, O'Reiley, Hanity...hell only Coulter goes (or went as I have not seen her skank ass recently) to any form of debate. They just sit in controlled environments and even when the opposition is there they have FULL control in cutting them off and getting the last word...although sometimes executed really stupidly.

Look at the Republican "issues"...deregulation of everything, privatization of everything, Creationism taught in schools, denying global warming, faith over reason, anti-choice...we let them turn these things into "issues"...they're non-issues. No debate. We let them turn things into a debate and create one where there was none...perhaps just so they can be contrarian...perhaps it's because they're f***ing sheep...

This McCain stunt is just another example of that...avoiding the debate.
