I've been trying to think of a simple, short way to convey what the economic crisis means to all of us.
What popped into my head was a parable of a parent-child relationship in where the child gets into some kind of trouble and the parent has to decide whether to bail the child out or not and how to do it.
I was thinking, at least in my own experiences, when I don't do anything, it usually makes it a lot tougher on myself than if I hadn't intervened but with stipulations. Usually, the child behaves much better and honors the demands for otherwise he/she would be in deep trouble. And the child learns something.
The parent (taxpayers); the banking industry (children); McCain & Republicans (bad influences??);
Can someone help me with this and then try to get it to the campaign if you think it's good? I'm just trying to convey something simple that ANYONE can understand. There are a lot of witty minds on this board and surely we can put our heads together here.
I'm going to go and put my makeup on and blow-dry my hair--I'll be back off and on to see what wonderful ideas you can come up with better than I!!!!!:think:
