There is a wholesale turning away from supporting McCain/Palin...
Palin's numbers are tanking, and her interviews with Couric are adding to those numbers. BTW she was answering Couric's questions with notecards at hand, and still could not come up with coherent relevant answers.

McCain is all over the board in regard to the financial crisis on Wall Street and the bail out plan.

Polling in the battleground states is turning away from McCain and toward Obama/Biden.

THe Media has become irritated by the way Palin has been hidden away from questioning, and they realize that the next Administration will almost certainly be Democratic, and it is likely that Democrats will hold substantial majorities in both houses of Congress. You can see former Bush apologists confronting Repub sacred cows with questions that should have been asked over the last 8 years.

Political strategists are having no luck improving the McCain/Palin team, and the closer we get to election day the more desperate they will become. It is embarrassing to Republicans to watch it all play out.

We are likely watching a presidential election take shape which will place the margin of victory far outside of any attempts to 'manipulate' the vote totals without immediate discovery of the same.

As long as Obama/Biden stay on message and avoid any kind of major misstep, it sure appears that they have already bested the McCain/Palin ticket and will be taking office in January.

1. Obama/Biden haven't "bested" the mcbush ticket - they just stood back
as it imploded.

3. 1st Rule of Politics "Never get in the way when your opponent is busy destroying himself/herself"...
It certainly applies here.

6. She did. She checked them several times.
I guess playing with the hem of her skirt had no effect on Couric.

4. All true, but we all need to keep working and show up to vote.
Overconfidence won't help.

9. There is no room for overconfidence, and we need to work to the end....
But these observations are from people across the spectrum covering this race.

7. Cornered Republicans...
the closer we get to election day the more desperate they will become

When it comes to the Republicans currently in the White House, that is worrisome.

11. Bush has become irrelevant and is just 'mailing it in' except for one matter....
There are lots of pardons to decide upon, and lots of records to destroy/hide before he vacates 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

14. NEVER. LET. UP.
Sorry for shouting. While I am beginning to dare believe it really is going down the way you describe we cannot relent. We need to drive these treasonous, avaricious swine from the places of power ... as many of them as we can. We cannot focus exclusively on the Presidential race ... we must also sweep Congress.

So while I will indeed enjoy watching our adversaries self destruct before our very eyes  I urge us all to keep working and donating. Let's kick their butts.

15. I heard this am that the palin/couric interview segments yet to...
be aired are even worse than the first. Too bad the bailout is taking up all the airtime. She really does come off as a complete and utter moron and because of the current news cycle, they just haven't had the time to do her real justice.

Between the witch hunting rev and the couric interviews, she's becoming a national joke. (oh, and by the way, a big thanks to tina fey as well).

Even though they would continue if Bush Republicans had not turned out to be such disasters.
