Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert are going to have no material left. These guys have kept me sane for 8 years. I can't just say goodbye!

1. Yes, I'm worried about Stewart (never got into Colbert). He will need to morph a little.

10. They will skewer the Dems. Comedy can be found in politics
no matter who is in power.

The only difference is we will laugh, because of the human nature of politics, rather than laugh out of fear for our Country and Liberty. The past 8 years have needed humor as a coping mechanism to survive.

Comedy has a power that keeps us focused in a way nothing else can. I want them to be as sharp and caustic with the good guys as I do the bad.

16. Good, maybe Jon will have time to study his history...
he, stupidly I might add, said the other night, that there was no TV when FDR was president. I was no not impressed...I let him know though, that FDR was in fact the first president to ever go on TV. I like Jon, but he just looked stupid saying that. Especially when it was a dig against one of our own.

21. They can still parody the GOP for laughs
By pointing out all the obviously GOOD things Obama's administration is doing, and saying the opposite, that they are bad... it will still be a bizarro world in the land of American politics:)

How dare Obama put all those Americans to work! How dare he make sure everyone has health care! What kind of dink is Obama anyway? Where does this guy get off cutting taxes for the poor and taking tax cuts away from the rich? Who the hell does he think he is? Robin Hood? What kind of freakazoid balances the budget?

Heh... it will work as long as there are dumbass Republicans spewing toxic stupidity.

Colbert will always have someone to brilliantly mock. At least there is that. lol

27. They'll still have the MSM to mock.
And, unfortunately, there will still be stupid republican senators and congressmen, it'll just be a smaller number than before.

Seriously, I'm not worried at all about Jon Stewart. I could see how there could be difficulty for the Colbert Report though. Colbert is at his best when he's trying to spin right-wing stupidity and policies. So, he might have some revamping to do with a Democratic administration.

point to the ridiculous and the foibles of our elected officials except that this time it will be the Democrats who are in power. I don't mind because I like the fact that they try to keep them honest and our side sometimes needs that too.

33. Well, with us entering another Great Depression, bailout or not, that will probably be
all the material we need right there. What better time to lampoon the leadership than when America is starving to death. We have to get through somehow.
