I've seen this clip played about a million times and then talked about negatively by Dems. and Repubs. alike! And Jonathan Capehart just said it reminded him of the now famous "Miss Teen South Carolina" answer!

33. She totally redeemed herself by appearing on a talk show the next morning
Edited on Fri Sep-26-08 02:46 PM by whrab
I thought her answer was spot on, so clearly she was capable of halfway intelligent thought in general... just not at that moment that we like to replay and ridicule endlessly.

And I really can't find one. Nothing this bad. Maybe someone can clue me into anyone being THIS out of their element.

17. You mean ....
The "It's hard!" debate. I think Bush said "It's hard" about 25 times in that debate. I couldn't believe that anyone seriously thought he did well in it.

In fact, Palin's responses remind me a great deal of Bush's responses from the Townhall format debate that Bush did with Gore in 2000. Equally as hapless and unintelligable, but the media just thought he was the greatest thing. The only difference, sadly for Palin, is that this time the media isn't buying it.

Smirky little bastid.

However, now that this thing is going our way I may take tiny doses of Mornin Joke now and then. I can always swear off again if it gets to be too much...

29. There's a possibility there--you might be on to something. She's used
to charming men, and crowds--not women who are brighter than her. I didn't see her wink at Katie, for example, the way she winked at Churrrlee, or use her name every third word. I think Couric intimidated her.

44. ??
Why hasn't anyone asked Russia for their response? Are they afraid it would be like in Apocalypto... the scene with the Jaguar?

Seems to me, some people think Russia and the US are once again at war. People do understand, we have not been at war with Russia for 20 years? The only one's threatening this peace are Republicans.
