Stupid question I'm sure, but are debates commercial-free?
I'm only 23 and I can't remember if they were 4 years ago. Those were the first presidential debates I ever watched.

2. I believe there were a few commercials last time around...
but memories are hazy. I tend to take the term "debate-watch party" a bit too literally.

6. Okay, but this is what I wanna know.....
If there are commercials on the major networks/cnn/msnbc, please tell me they will pause the actual debating down in Mississippi so we don't miss it when any zingers are fired off, or you know.... when McCain starts cussing Obama out and calls him the n word.

7. Normally, during commercial breaks, the candidates go away from the stage,
drink some water, get advice from staff.. shake off some nerves, get their makeup re-touched? that's what they do during those times.. when the debates do take an intermission, the networks break thru and then go to commercial.. I don't know what they will do with these?
