the House Republicans are getting major heat from their business/Wall Street contributors - they are going to have to sign off to some form of bailout even if it's watered down. Something will be passed by the time the markets open on Monday and this will become a matter of historical, not current, interest. I agree that the House Republicans may have maneuvered this to their advantage, but it won't be an ongoing concern by the election. On the off chance that it is, I expect that the stock market and credit markets will tank and make the Republicans look very bad.
