Cafferty to Blitzer on Palin: DON'T MAKE EXCUSES FOR HER!
Edited on Fri Sep-26-08 04:04 PM by whereismyparty
FROM CNN:

Wolf Blitzer: Jack, we woke up this morning and didn't know for sure if there was going to be a debate.

Jack Cafferty: If there was no deal I thought he wasn't gonna show up.

Wolf: There is going to be a debate.

Cafferty: So he's changed his mind.

Wolf: Yes.

***

Cafferty: There's a reason the McCain campaign is keeping Governor Sarah Palin away from the press. I want to play you an excerpt from an interview that Sarah Palin did with CBS Evening News anchor Katie Couric, where she was asked about the bailout. Listen to this.

Cafferty: Did you get that? If John McCain wins this woman will be one 72-year old' heartbeat away from the presidency. AND IF THAT DOESN'T SCARE THE HELL OUT OF YOU, IT SHOULD... I'm 65 and have been covering politics for a long time - that's one of the most pathetic pieces of tape I have ever seen from someone aspiring to one of the highest offices in the country. That's all I have to say.

Wolf: She's been cramming a lot of information --

Cafferty: There is NO excuse for that, she's supposed to know a little bit of this. Don't make excuses for her. That's pathetic.

Wolf: It was not her best answer.

I cross-posted a portion of this in the video forum, but unfortunately the end got cut off.

17. I think "tool" is the word you're looking for.
Either way, I agree with your sentiment.

2. You go, Jack! He played the clip I've been yammering about -- regarding
the bailout. The "Russia" one has been getting all the sound bites, but I thought her response to this, especially since the vast majority of Americans are rating the economy as their number one concern, was absolutely alarming. Thanks, Jack!

Thanks for posting what took place. I missed it on tv w/closed captioning and youtube doesn't CC so I missed what happened. I'm a big fan of Cafferty and you've made my day.

10. This snowball is rolling downhill and it's getting bigger and bigger
People are finally stepping forward to comment on Miss Ignoramus. More are becoming emboldened to join in the safety of numbers.

Thanks David Letterman, for being one of the first with any cahones.

11. Many of the media types "won't go there" with criticizing Palin
for her unintelligible answers/ramblings. I'm glad Jack will. Shuster on MSNBC has too.

said Palin's mock debates were so bad that McCain's handlers actually stopped the debate practices and put their heads in their hands. They just couldn't believe how bad she was. Hmmmmm...we're shocked, why?
