It Must Be Nice To Look At This Election as "Fun"...
Watching the kids at Ole Miss, I'm remembering younger days and the thrill of the presidential race.

In my older age (52), it has become COMPLETELY SERIOUS!

And while there are moments of laughter this election cycle, the stakes are far to high to allow for actual fun.

C'mon young people... this election is truly in your hands this time around!

:kick: ASS!!!

1. I'm the same age and of the same mind....
I find it hard to see anything funny at all in this political environment. I would, however, laugh out loud if McSame the Cadaveric would blow a fuse tonite.

2. Some of this is too funny
to not disconnect for a minute -- and just sit back and let out some serious belly laughs. I mean come on, the Palin interview was some seriously funny shit. And whose air space does Russia invade, Miss Smarty Pants, oh yes, Alaska's; where, doncha know, Ms. Palin is an Ex-Ec-U-Tive. So take that.

You have to have some fun with this one, it's half the energy behind the campaign. Especially when you get it deep down into your bones - that we already have it won, if we just keep working every day.

13. Now THAT Is Truly Depressing
It wasn't always this way. But it has increasingly been getting worse.

Hopefully, we are gonna right this ship of state this time around.

14. I know, it's scary.
2004 was bad, but now I've just conceded if we lose this time around, we're fucked.

5. I was fired up in 2000 and in 2004 -- now it's something else.
All the damage I hoped we could avert has happened, just as predicted. Bush voters wrought exactly what we said they would.

Now there's such a mess, it's discouraging. I guess trying to keep somebody from lighting dynamite under the country makes you jump and run to stop them -- lots of adrenalin and urgency. After it's all blown up, it's more like dragging yourself toward the shovel to start the long, tiring task of cleaning up the destruction.

(It's not about Obama -- I felt this all through the primaries too. His potential to be our first black president is *very* exciting to me -- probably the only thing that is, at this point.)

If McCain gets in, of course, this country is finished as a super-power. And that is actually what Dumbfuckistan deserves for voting as they have. I'm sure there must be some Republicans who hope Obama wins so the mess will start to get cleaned up, since we can't take any more, and a Democrat will take the blame for the sacrifices we have to make.

8. Sometimes you laugh even in Combat
If I didn't have my sense of humor I'd go more crazy
than I'm already am!

I'm so glad the youth are involved to do the grunt work
that really makes it happens. I'm older than you
and the mind is willing but the body isn't always cooperative.

Kick some ass you guys!

11. My post-dye transformation to gray is almost complete, but I do try
to see some humor in some of this stuff. Fer instance, after OBama blows the socks off McBush with his knowledge and skill in confusing the old fart, I'll be all smiles.
