Kerry should highlight Bush's FAILURES in the War on Terrorism
Edited on Thu Sep-02-04 07:13 PM by dansolo
If there is one thing to learn from the Republicans, it's that you should attack your opponents strengths (though in this case it is assumed strengths). I am sick of conceding the War on Terrorism to Bush. Kerry should be blasting Bush on his repeated failures on battling Terrorism, and how we are not more safe with Bush at the helm. Right now the Republicans are riding on the wave of fear about Terrorism. We should be making the electorate begin to doubt his effectiveness, and we have more than enough facts on our side. How many CIA agents and al Qaeda moles do they have to reveal? How many Iranian and Israeli spies to they have to support? How many times are we going to allow Osama bin Laden to escape because we don't want to antagonize our "allies" in Pakistan? People need to start to wake up and realize that this administration is causing damage to our country that will take decades to recover from.

We don't even have to bring up the complete clusterfuck that is the Iraq invasion.

Absolutely right. And we should be pointing out how Iraq was a diversion from the "War on terror" and not really a part of it. Also, remember that the nation responsible for the proliferation of WMD to "axis of evil" states like Iran and NK is our major "ally" on the WoT.

4. My rant and/or meme: Bush has played into the terrorists' hands
1. Bush was told bin Laden was getting ready to hit America, but did nothing.

2. Bin Laden attacked us on our own soil, killing 3,000 people, and Bush failed to bring him to justice.

3. Bush had bin Laden cornered in Tora Bora, but let him walk away.

4. Bin Laden warned his followers that America was out to take over Arab states. Bush made the prediction come true.

5. Bin Laden wanted to splinter the West, pitting old allies against each other. Bush went right along with the plan.

6. Bin Laden boasted he would "cleanse the Islamic holy land of infidels." Bush complied by ordering US forces out of Saudi Arabia and urging Americans to flee the Saudi peninsula.

7. Bin Landen boasted he could bring down a superpower just like Russia in Afghanistan. Bush has us bogged down in Iraq, unable to get control despite all our military strength.

George W. Bush is the best thing that ever happened to Osama bin Laden. His failures have made bin Laden a larger-than-life legend and hero to crazies everywhere. There's no question bin Laden benefits if Bush is re-elected: four more years of America playing into the terrorists' hands at every turn.

"Mr. President, you've been sitting here for seven minutes now.
Fer chrissake, just make up an excuse to leave, would you?
Tell them.. okay, try this. Say 'I have to go toidy now.'
Can you remember that? 'I... have... to...' "
