Things did change after 9-11 and then they changed again
The world united with Americans after 9-11. They were willing to back us in the war on terror eventhough Bush had constantly spit in their faces by breaking and not supporting global initiatives and treaties. England played the American anthem during the changing of the guard. French friends called me with their regrets. Some Arabs danced in the streets but many thought the terrorists were not justified and did not practice true Islam. NATO considered it an attack against a NATO member. Countries came to our aid and joined with us in order to go into Iraq.

The nation rallied together. People tried to support President Bush and we all wished him success. We were all united even though we didn't have to agree. I was proud when President Bush stood beside the firemen and ground zero. The senate tried to work with the president.

President Bush has ground all of that international and domestic good will into the dust. He used the house and senates good will to push though enormous tax breaks to the top 2% income brackets, creating an enormous, expanding deficit and declaring a clandestine class war on 98% of americans. He used american good will to intiatiate the patriot act calling it patriotic and forbidding americans the rights guaranteed by our founding fathers. He called anyone who questioned him a traitor and supported smear campaigns against those who disagreed. He supported social programs in public and cut their funding in private. He proposed bills for the purpose of fighting terrorism but he buried clauses within that aided his "friends", trashed workers, and didn't sacrifice his treasured tax cuts.

He sacrificed our nations credibility by claiming Iraq was tied to 9-11. He destroyed our credibility by abandoning the job in Afganistan and the search for Osama bin Laden to go after Iraq because he thought it was an easier target and would provide better political payoff. He snubbed his nose at our allies when a "sensitive" approach may have done the job more effectively. He claimed we had found weapon of mass destruction in Iraq eventhough we now know he hadn't. He sent troops to Iraq without body armor and they had to buy it themselves if they wanted to be protected. This was before the vote in the senate for which he blames John Kerry. He stole money budgeted for Afganistan to use for his war plans in Iraq. This is all a short list. We all have ones that anger us the most.

Above all this president has lied repeatedly and spoken fair words while he stabbed americans and our allies in the back. He stays on his message, repeats it over and over again until americans trade the truth for his lies.

The world has changed alot since 9-11 and as a result its time to change presidents.
