Have a beer with? Likable? Friendly? Seductive?
Will someone tell these nincompoops that these people: McCain, Palin, Bush Jr., have no interest in having a beer with them, and they wouldn't give them the sweat from their genitalia if they didn't require their votes? That these people are notoriously snotty and disinterested in the common man? That unless they are able to bring votes, do favors, or otherwise assist the candidates or elected officials, they have no stake or care in the world with regard to these people.

When they vote against their own interests for personality reasons, they are hoodwinked by the campaigns that say, "We Care", when in fact, they don't give a damn about whether most of these people literally live or die.

2. Many if not most people chose their candidate for silly reasons.
I've heard a lot of (IMO) silly stupid reasons from my friends & neighbors.

I would never vote for McCain 'cause he's ugly!

I would never vote for Kerry because he looks like Jay Leno!

I'm voting for McCain/Palin 'cause Sarah's HOT!

I would never vote for Hillary because she has fat legs!

I believe something more than a candidate's positions on the issues has to attract every voter to support one candidate over another. Sometimes it's appearance, sometimes it's personality, and many other possibilities. Many times it's chosing the candidate you dislike the least! How many times have you heard someone say I picked the best of two bad.
