What are McCain's option if his money runs out?
Can the RNC run Presidential campaigns on his behalf? Is that legal?

1. The RNC can spend money on his campaign, yes
It won't, though.

You can expect the RNC to pull out almost all of their monetary support this comeing week. McCain has made no game changing maneuvers. Going full on negative may stop the bleeding, but that's the best case scenario. Most likely, he'll start sinking even worse in the polls.

The RNCC and the NRSC are both underfunded and there are many races that are now in play they never thought would be in play. The RNC is going to work on saving seats in the Congress, especially Senate seats.

Resources are finite and throwing money at McCain now would be a waste of resources.

3. So that leaves out only one option .........527's
We haven't seen them really in action thus far .. but maybe its the calm before a storm.. I guess its time for some weather forecasting.

5. It's too late for a 527 strategy to have a major effect
The 527 strategy in 2004 began in the summer with the swift boaters. They had a full court press all the way through the convention and had established the meme well.

It's too late for that. All they can do is throw the mud at the wall and hope it sticks. Unfortunately, all the mud they have is just dried up clods of dirt now, so getting it to stick is going to be difficult at best.

4. Soft money can be used for some activities I believe
and I'm sure you will see 527's come out hard against Obama if they haven't already. People are able to give large amounts of money to those organizations, but they are not suppose to coordinate with the campaign (although that has to be proven).

6. McLamebrain will quit the race or be unable to continue due ...

having died or being just too ill and very near "check out" time.

The prevailing criminal cabal in control of the strings of the reigning regime are going to have to rewrite the ground rules and appeal to the voters baser instincts.

A winning strategy for the Rethugs, they are desperate and capable of anything!

A leavening of sympathy piggybacking on the usual fear paradigm is what the near future could bring.

How else...

McLamebrain/Palin are losers, there is no doubt anywhere now. It is amazing that the Rethugs couldn't generate better, more credible candidates. What losers!

Postpone the election due to the "emergency"...

Insert Bush One for his second term... Jeb...

Who knows!
