Poll question: Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Missouri, North Carolina, Nevada, Ohio, Virginia--which will BHO win?
Edited on Sun Oct-05-08 02:34 PM by Bicoastal
The Kerry states look awesome right now, as do Iowa and New Mexico. Obama needs ONE of the above states to put him over the top. McCain needs them ALL.

So how many of the above states do you think Obama will win? (Be sure to specify below which ones, as well as the ones you think he'll lose.) Again, the states are:

Colorado
Florida
Indiana
Missouri
North Carolina
Nevada
Ohio
Virginia

1. For the record, I think Missouri, North Carolina, and Indiana are still too red to go Obama...
...but I'm betting the rest of 'em turn blue. :)

My vote is for five.

20. Agreed on those three still too red
Interesting poll. The likely number ranges from 3-5. I voted 3 but probably 4 is more likely, now that I think about it.

9. I'm very confident about Virginia.
Mainly because of the college votes. Did you see the story the other day about how Liberty University here is giving the kids the day off and insisting that they all vote, blah, blah, blah. They want to be the first college to elect a President.

Because after all, Terry, NONE of the more liberal institutions in VA are doing that.

TM tells me she is bombarded daily by groups asking her if she's registered to vote. And, she states her entire campus is pro-Obama.

How's that working for ya Liberty? Doncha jes wanna join us in being Mavericks?

12. I'm heartened to read that, midlo.
I also think Mark Warner enjoying a HUGE lead in his Senate race will help. I can't believe the same people who would vote for Warner will vote en masse for McCain.

14. Obama canvassers were here yesterday and we had a really nice
talk about Obama. They are delighted at the response they're getting...from undecideds. :woohoo:

They said they came to my house because of the bumper stickers on the van.

5. It'll be interesting to see how much the "register and vote" thing in Ohio helps Obama.
It's only a 6-day window, but it represents a bunch of newly-registered voters that you don't have to worry about.

8. You meant *election* fraud, right?
Not to sound like your vocabulary teacher, but the Republicans are trying to make *voter* fraud an issue, when the real issue is *election* fraud. Two different things.

6. At the moment he would probably win them all, but...
I think McCain could close the gap by some points in 4 weeks. Then Indiana, Missouri and perhaps North Carolina will be hard.

7. MO will go for Obama.
Kerry made a mistake when he pulled out of MO. It ended up being close anyway. They'll vote for their neighbor from Illinois.

19. I voted 5.
I personally feel CO, MO, and IN are a little iffy, but I think all the rest look really good right now.
