My view was you needed charismatic teflon to pull swing and oust an incumbent, and only Edwards had it.

I know, they would be thrashing his inexperience, especially with national security issues. Like Edwards couldn't deflect that with one memorable and effective quick sound burst, something Kerry unfortunately can't manage with all his Gettysburg addresses.
