I know Mr. Milbank has been almost uniformly reviled here, but on at least two occasions that I am aware of recently, he seems to be reporting the truth, especially about Palin.

He's covering his ass. The good news is this indicates a shift in the establishment's view
on the election. They must be terrified of McCain-Palin.

Milbank is a paid hit man. We've seen that. His imitation of integrity is preferable to his
hatched jobs but has no bearing on who the guy is. He's a smart ass who ridicules people like
John Conyers for fighting Bush.
