1. He's been planning this for weeks.
The rope a dope is over and the gloves are off. Johnny K will now proceed to kick junior's cowardly ass.

3. Oh, me! I am!
I thought he cleaned Shrub's clock. I think some people here expect Kerry to turn into the left wing version of Rush Limbaugh or something. Folks, it isn't going to happen. Kerry is going to keep on swinging, but he's not going to lower himself into the gutter with Rove. He was doing everything he needs to do in order to win tonight. Maybe he could be a little more crisp on the delivery, but it WAS after midnight, remember.

Kick their candy asses!

Putting aside my militaristic metaphors, it was a hell of a speech. Like oxygen for a suffocating man.

5. I hope he gets better at it though
When does he go after the Republicans for putting up a millionaire movie actor to lecture unemployed and underinsured families about how swell the economy is, or a chickenhawk 5-deferrment military program slasher and former Saddam business partner lecturing Kerry about service and sacrifice?

9. Thank God
I was beginning to think that Kerry (or his campaign advisors) lacked cojones. We've been entirely too nice thus far.

11. He has got to be tough but stay positive.
He has got to stay focused on this thing and not go on vacation for now. This is the fight of his life and the country's. He needs to be tough but come up with answers in a way that will reach the middle American voter. He needs to keep on the Bushites 24/7.

John

14. Exactly what I was thinking!
I said to myself,"They woke a sleeping giant!" I'm feeling more confident about November after that speech! GO KERRY!

15. It was a good speech
and as much as he did hit the president, I think he could have hit even harder. Of course, that's just me and probably my own visceral hatred of this adminiastration.

All in all I liked the speech. I liked his passsion. He sounded very heartfelt and sincere tonight.

16. Same old JK
Says the same kinds of things on a regular basis and people still don't understand that he just isn't going to go around the country ranting like a crazy man all the time. He'll lay in a couple of swings, then get back to his message. The country wants to know where a new President will take us, that's what's going to matter in the end.
