What kind of Town Hall debate has less than 50 seats?

What kind of Town Hall debate has less than 50 seats?
I'm watching MSNBC where they just televised the stage for the debate, and there can't be more than 50 seats in there.

Can you imagine the amount of vetting of the 50-member audience there must have been? Then again, considering McCain's vetting of Palin, maybe it WILL be interesting.

3. Really? Then I have no idea what they just showed. Maybe there's a "front" section with only 50.
And the back section is not miked.
