Obama needs to get after it tonight. He needs to crush
Edited on Tue Oct-07-08 06:28 PM by ej510
McCain with a sledge hammer. Tonight has to be the night that Obama shows a killer instinct. He has to take advantage of every opening McCain gives him. He must kill McCain's presidential run tonight. He has a chance to bring home undecideds tonight. I hope Obama squashes this prick tonight! They have a saying in the south, and "says git her done" .

2. I disagree - tonight he needs to win over the independents that are still deciding
I dont think they want to see any on kill or crush anyone - they want to see someone that makes sense and shows leadership. Thats all he has to do IMO.

3. Exactly. This is Darth Vader vs. Luke Skywalker. Give in to the hate, and you lose.
Obama wins by focusing on jobs and the economy. He loses when he gets sucked into McCain's worthless attack vortex. Obama needs to dismiss them with a laugh and a quick word, then onto more important things.

6. You can crush someone by being taking advantage of mistakes.
He should bring up the story about 90yr old lady that shot herself because her home was forclosed on. He needs to show sympathy. I know he's sympathetic but he has to wear his heart on his sleeve. We know that he cares but some people aren't sure. I hope he slams the door shut.

10. But not TOO cool when it comes to the voters' concerns and pain
He needs a Big Dawg "I feel your pain" moment with a voter
tonight. I'm praying he gets it ...

7. If he comes down too hard
Then the old man will cry foul and the media will be all over it. He needs to maintain his famous COOL while exhibiting that great sense of humor. The UNDECIDEDS will be won over by his charm, not his killer instinct.

However if McCain goes for the jugular then all bets are off.

11. Tonight will be boring
Obama and McCain will try to out-empathize each other. Sensitivity contests aren't exciting.

13. You know there is only one question the MSM is
interested in and that's his relationship with Ayers. If he dismisses it and goes on and talks about the economy or the war or something else that really matters the MSM is going to focus on Ayers. I hope he has a good comeback and nails the little jackass about G. Gordon Liddy an Keating. I was just listening to Lou Dobbs and Ayers was the subject, that's what the MSM is going to talk about. I think it's the time when the MSM is just waiting for something to beat on Obama about. We have four weeks to go and the MSM has got to get Obama's poll numbers down, it's all about ratings they like a horse race. I don't ever remember an election where it didn't play out like that, I look for them to hammer Obama these last few weeks and the day before the election they will claim it's to close to call they always do.

15. I don't think he'll win undecideds tonight by changing his style. He should remain cool, calm,
and friendly (and respectful) which WILL get under McCain's wrinkly skin and will "git her done" THAT way.
