Bush promised his tax cuts would create 7 million jobs
This is where I think Bush is supremely vulnerable. He made these huge promises when he was selling his tax cuts, there are going to be tons of statements by him and his people, that Bush will now have to defend.

And most of the statements were made after Sept. 11, so Bush's favorite excuse is gone...

The U.S. Department of Labor announced this morning that 144,000 jobs were added to the economy in August. This month's total was not even enough to keep up with population growth, let alone make up for the 7 million missing jobs Bush promised his tax cuts would create.

1. Well, he's only got 8 million to go!
And two whole months in which to reach his goal. Good luck, Chimpy.

2. Damn those economic girly men!
I wonder what Bush is thinking right now..."well those lazy assholes! why don't they just ask their daddy's for a job? It always worked for me." *scratches head in disbelief*

3. We need to look at that "144,000" jobs. Dept of Labor is run
by Mitch O'Connell's wife, Ms Chao.

4. Junior Flyboy PROMISED 300,000 new jobs a month
last January...then flip flopped. Remember Scott McClellan announcing "the pResident is not a statistician?"

"WASHINGTON (AP) -- The White House backed away Wednesday from its own prediction that the economy will add 2.6 million new jobs before the end of this year, saying the forecast was the work of number-crunchers and that President Bush was not a statistician.
White House press secretary Scott McClellan, asked repeatedly about the forecast, declined to embrace the prediction which was contained in the annual economic report of the White House Council of Economic Advisers.
