Moveonpac's boffo new ad from a real West Texan, Richard Linklater!
RICHARD LINKLATER's

"A REAL WEST TEXAN"

DIRECTOR’S NOTE:
"When I was asked by Moveon PAC to join this campaign, I jumped at the opportunity...My ad features Richard, a native Texan from the same part of my home state as GW Bush. To me, Richard represents a lot of traditional, caring folks in this country who feel that the Bush administration has pulled off a great bait and switch: promising "compassionate conservatism" while undermining the lives of working people everywhere."

-- Richard Linklater

1. West Texas is good people.
They may be conservative but they're so nice and polite...EAST Texas now that's another story.

8. And the accents aren't as annoying either.
E. Texas TWANGS make my head hurt. (That Tah'-ler ayuk'-sent')

That soft West Texas drawl makes my heart hurt for what's happened to this state.

A nice West Texas drawl is the most friendly voice on earth.

3. Behold an honest accent
That guy is the real thing. Bush is one of the country club crowd. My family homesteaded in Midland Co and still has a ranch there.

Good honest background too.

6. WOW! Now that's what a real Texan looks like!
Dubya is just a TV Texan, a Village People Texan, a fake.

I think most folks who see this ad will see the difference between that east coast prep school punk and a real Texan!

9. For some reason, these ads get me choked up.
They're just regular people who really believe that America can be better and can see exactly why it isn't.

My favorite American is the one whose eyes and mind are open and can see for themselves what is what, no matter how much Fox and the Republican party try to occlude it.

Those people are heroes for not giving in and for speaking up.
