Drudge headlines this morning (so pathetic & spineless)
- R U 4 COMEBACK KID!! (luls)
- liberal rage
- liberal violence
- liberal thugocracy
- liberal vandalism
- liberals playing the race card
- castro says racism to blame
- polling gap shrinks/vanishing
- 40k felons registered to vote in florida

The left sometimes forgets how we get baited into things and then the GOP flips it back on us.

The question is how to defuse this nonsense and to stay on message (economy, health care, less division, etc).

Let's start by naming it... desperate baiting & deflection.

1. Peril
Ignore Drudge at your own peril ... it is a window into the Repug-Bush-McPalin campaign.

Even progressive radio talk shows find themselves using Drudge topics.

I find Drudge to be superficial and interested only in pushing buttons for reaction ... and he is pretty lame, often incorrect and slow with breaking news if it doesn't fit his agenda.

But DUers who scream about referencing that web site are missing an important point of right-wing information, in many ways Drudge is a gift that let's us all know where the Repugs are going and how they are feeling. Right now they are clearly demoralized and grasping at straws ... actually it is kind of fun to watch.

He's nothing but a wetware news aggregator and specious, right-wing headline writer. I don't need to visit the eggman to know what the wing-nuts are saying. Drudge's reach and traffic rankings have been going down for the last 3 months. In fact, here's a fun graphic:
