80% of Registered youth could turnout on election day

A point of comparison. A lot of media outlets are now saying that "lots of youth are registered, but they never show up on election day."

That's actually not true. According to Rock the Vote and census data, over 80% of registered youth actually cast a ballot on election day in 2004. Add in Obama's mass of new voter registrations and that makes for a compelling picture for potential youth turnout. Future Majority has more.

it's not 100 %? I mean, why bother registering if you're not going to show up and vote?
