Other reports are assuming he will, but don't know for a fact.

28. Indeed you are.
:loveya:

Life's good. I'm working full time on a local campaign. Lots of hard work, but it is fun. Have NO idea how we are going to do -- it's a traditionally R district -- but we expect to give the Repub a run for her money! :D

AND, I have a job interview next week! Cross your fingers for me. If I get this job, I'll get my cable (and Keith! :loveya:) back! And after Nov. 4 I will surely have more free time to hang out in the clubhouse. :D

How's you? What are you up to these days?

14. Hip hop dancing?
Just come out and say it: a black man to endorse another black man. Damn Fox is so transparent. After all he has done for their side, this is all they have to say about him. The narrative would be so different if they thought he was endorsing McCain.

I'd be interested in reading more of the story.

The rumor is already in the air. Is she just referring to the rumor or does she have something more?

10. I'm more interested in Obama's reaction to the endorsement than
Powell's endorsement itself.
I predict he'll accept it graciously, even thought it will Piss us off.
The general public still has a pretty high regard for Powell, and it will carry weight.

Edited on Fri Oct-17-08 10:03 AM by olegramps
What is left of Colin Powell's credibility will be destroyed by the Rovian character assassins. They will slice him up and throw the carcass under the bus. It will be just standard operating procedure like they have done to any Republican who dares challenge their dysfunctional party.

27. I think Powell should just allude to an endorsement of Obama.
Nobody can criticize him if he doesn't come right out and say it. He can go on MTP and say several good things about an Obama administration as opposed to a McCain administration. That's all he has to do.

31. Why do we have do eat him alive when he's endorsing our guy???
Yeah, alright...but the military respects this guy a LOT -- and many of them feel he was set up by *.

I heard this rumor 2 months ago and was discussing it with some Pukes who about went CRAZY when they heard this. They were so ANGRY! They all wanted Powell on McKkkain's cabinet or whatever. They wanted Powell for President instead of Mckkkain actually.

So this is big- it means a lot.

I for one am not looking sideways at any gifts. Bring em on....We need all the help we can get- not just now, but when he is governing. These kinds of endorsements can go a long way toward a peaceful shift of power and a sense of trust from scared, clueless, uninformed people.

A lot of "racists" trust Powell. He can be a great introduction for them to Obama, a man they haven't bothered to get to know. He's also viewed as the expert re foreign policy/ military strategy finesse-- so for him to endorse Obama is huge, seeing as that is Obama's perceived weakness (among pukes). Of course, we all know his strength is the way he deals with allies and enemies.

do what you will, and I don't blame you for it, but I'm holding the door open to anyone who wants to make this journey to a better world a little bit easier.

32. This country loves to destroy celebrities and then allow for their redemption.
Powell can come clean at any time and start to do the correct thing again.
