The MSM is saying McCain's "Joe the Plumber" strategy is a good one to "close the gap" with
I heard this on every show today-that McCain's "Joe the Plumber" story pushing the line that Obama will "spread the wealth" is the right one and could cause him to come back. Haven't they seen the polls with widening gaps since the last debate when he's been talking about the phony guy as much as possible? Just because a couple people yelled out, "SOCIALIST" doesn't mean it's really working, does it? The polls say no. I hope he keeps it up.

BTW-On Faux News Sunday today, Brit Hume said he got a robocall from some OTHER plumber (I forget his name or where he's from) saying HE'S a REAL plumber and will benefit from Obama's tax plan. :)

1. Spread the WEALTHY'S wealth around.
Of course John McCain hates that idea! He's a multi-millionaire!

Funny thing is, he thinks most Americans are, too.

I wish there would be some ads out there showing McCain saying he doesn't know how many homes he owns, that people making $5 million is considered "rich" to him, etc., then showing him saying he doesn't know as much as he should about the economy.

6. I do hope that Obama hammers him on this. McCain's
economic policies will not help the middle class.

obama needs to say that he would give "Joe" a tax cut now so that one day he can afford that business. When do you freakin need a tax break, when you are struggling to get ahead and acquire your dreams or when you are already rich (if that ever happens).

McCain's campaign has been like a National Lampoon movie. Joe the Plumber, Palin on SNL geesh

10. Isn't there video somewhere of "Joe" admitting he'd get a tax cut under Obama's plan?
If so, he could use THAT.

4. They do like the "Obama is a pointy head Harvard....
... intellectual who can't relate to working class schmoes" story line.

They went with this in the primary til it ran out of gas... along with the GOP economy.

7. Unfortunately for them, I think people finally WANT
an intellectual guy (who clearly DOES know what it's like to be working class).

5. And yet, this is the same MSM who ran focus groups
at the third debate, most of whom gave a big "no-no" to 'Joe the Plumber' when they asked the focus group audience if they felt Joe helped McCain.

Sometimes I love (:sarcasm:) the MSM, they conveniently forget things they, themselves, report.

12. They even said McCain's OWN focus group didn't like the idea. My ONLY worry is that McCain
supposedly will be dumping a lot of money into ads near the end. I heard this from 3 different people on tv.

14. I KNOW! When I saw him say that, I figured that would be the END of him...
but of course the media let that one go as if he never said it. Why don't the Dems. use that in an ad to discredit him?

11. The only empirical evidence that the MSM will accept is the election results on November 4
Until that day, they will say anything and everything to push their neo-liberal ideology and pretend that it is the dominant belief among the American people, when it clearly is not. I like that Obama keeps pushing the line "Everybody who makes more than $250,000 a year raise your hands."

This is what democrats have been afraid to do, and why they're lost. He says it straight out: the vast majority are not in a position to benefit from Republican policies. Period. And most people know it. That the vast majority of the MSM ARE in a position to benefit accounts for their stupidities on this point. But they will be rejected after 30 years of their sick neo-liberal shite has put us in the crapper.

15. I know you're right...
but I wish we were able to change that. I know many of us here call and write to complain about their tactics. I guess it's not enough to stop them.

13. John McCain is clearly from the school of "As long as I repeat it, it's true!"
I nearly gagged while listening to his shrill voice today proclaim "Leave Joe the plumber alone! They are attacking him...he was the only one who got to ask Obama a question!" The media fails again.
