More W.Va. voters say machines are switching votes
In six cases, Democratic votes flipped to GOP

WINFIELD, W.Va. -- Three Putnam County voters say electronic voting machines changed their votes from Democrats to Republicans when they cast early ballots last week. This is the second West Virginia county where voters have reported this problem. WINFIELD, W.Va. -- Three Putnam County voters say electronic voting machines changed their votes from Democrats to Republicans when they cast early ballots last week.

This is the second West Virginia county where voters have reported this problem. Last week, three voters in Jackson County told The Charleston Gazette their electronic vote for "Barack Obama" kept flipping to "John McCain".

In both counties, Republicans are responsible for overseeing elections. Both county clerks said the problem is isolated.

They also blamed voters for not being more careful.

"People make mistakes more than machines," said Jackson County Clerk Jeff Waybright.

Shelba Ketchum, a 69-year-old nurse retired from Thomas Memorial Hospital, described what happened Friday at the Putnam County Courthouse in Winfield.

"I pushed buttons and they all came up Republican," she said. "

Maybe e-mail all the TV networks, including KO and Rachel? Any other ideas?

2. K&R to keep attention on vote flipping. I'm sure such alerts are being compiled
about all the anomalies this time.

It will be interesting if this time the vote flipping just happens to change Obama votes to McCain ones.

It was certainly odd that many 2004 votes flipped and just happened to flip in Bush's favor. What a coincidence!

I think oddities are being documented and compiled more carefully this time.

Watch the down ticket races, too. The GOP may have decided to allow Obama his victory but keep the flipping fixes in on down ticket races to give him a divided congress with another mean bunch of Republicans who think our lives are just a game for their egos.

3. Their "noise-machine" has been in overdrive to prepare for this fraud

in West Virginia - calling it for Pugs prematurely. I'd bet a pound to a pinch of snuff, whatever the result is claimed to be, the real result will be a solid victory for Obama.

4. I don't understand why the Poll worker would leave this machine in use
If she had three people complain about this issue, then it's gotta be deliberate in my mind. If it's a situation where the machine needs to be recalibrated then why wasn't she getting complaints from Repugs about it not working?

5. Good point!
Maybe all machines that display bad behaviour should be sent to their respective corners, until they can behave fairly!
