It took the media two weeks to start exposing Swift Boat lies, but 8 hours
to report on the "forgery" allegation.

Hmmm.

echo chamber.

Our echo chamber is DU, Media Matters, Air America and a few other outlets. We talk and talk and talk and talk, but little that we say gets picked up by the mainstream media.

THEIR echo chamber controls a cable network (and arguably more), that is all to eager to broadcast and therefore make a story out of rumors that float around on Rush, Hannity, Savage, Drudge, etc. And once Fox reports it, everyone else falls over themselves like excited puppies to get in on the story, too.

5. I agree. I'm hoping that the fact that CBS reported the story
will mean that CBS will fight back against being slandered.

3. Because the forgery was a plant???

Funny how *someone* knew to post the documents at FreeRepublic and dissect the documents for forgeries.

I think Rove used the FreeRepublic to recruit the Swift Boat liars, and I think he would use the FreeRepublic to "expose" the forgeries.

PS: I've look up CBS's supposed insider who confirmed and verified the documents: retired Maj. Gen. Bobby W. Hodges:

At OpenSecrets.org, his only political contribution was to a conservative Republican congressman.

4. I'm steamed
Suddenly the Republicans are howling "foul" after weeks of pummeling Kerry with false lies about his Vietnam record.....and they're not finished yet. Another nasty POW ad has come out with POWs personally blaming Kerry for extending their capture by two years because HE PERSONALLY (of course along with Jane Fonda) testified that ALL Vietnam Veterans were war criminals. THAT'S A LIE!

Yet, Lieboy's AWOL status is off limits due to "technically" pulling strings behind the scenes through his daddy to avoid service of ANY kind. THAT'S TRUE!

I'm of the Vietnam generation. I was there protesting. I knew boys who died. It isn't about who served and who didn't....I know lots who avoided service but THEY didn't become hypocritical lying warhawks who invaded sovereign nations under false pretenses.

The BFEE=War Profiteer Chickenhawks. Rover is a criminal and should be in prison. They are all lying war criminals and this entire campaign REEKS of filthy tricks and smears.

Osama who?

Right on, right on...it's not about Chimp's service, it's credibility.
This sorry bunch has worked a truly fiendish but unfortunately, effective, plan: find all of Bush's vulnerabilities, and smear the other side with accusations of same in order to deflect attentions from the Emperor's nakedness and Words of Mass Deception.
It's so blatant, but yet sheeple believe it.
It's all a little play-act, with sets and scenes and scripts, but it's not entertaining. It's deadly serious, and Cheney was right about one thing: this election IS about making the correct choices, and that certainly doesn't include Chimpy, PNAC goons, liars, thieves and whores such as the current misadministration et al.

8. For a positive push'
we need to keep pointing out that John Kerry arguably shortened the war by at least five years. Also what tweety and company need to know is if John hadn't raised the volume and shortened the war, those ignorant, shortsighted f**ks would not have come home at all!

6. exactly. It wasn't Kerry's fault. They (K campaign) refuted immediately
it took 3 weeks for the media to catch up, and the New York Times exposed the whole lot of them.

7. all they have to do is get the possiblility out there
to Republicans who desperately WANT to believe that Bush is a good guy and Dems are bad.

They can be proved to be real docs later. Doesn't matter.
