Bush Legacy in a Nutshell
The Bush legacy is pretty sad. George H. W. Bush was a one term president who only was able to muster 38% of the vote in his reelection bid. George W. Bush won two contested elections and will leave office with the lowest popularity rating of any president in modern times.

1. Eh, Bush 1 did some things right
He wasn't the total disaster his son was, anyway. Also, he appointed Souter.

17. I give him credit for Souter
although GHWB had NO idea that Souter would turn out to be so wonderful.

I read that Souter said that he needed 24 more hours, and the 2000 election decision (appointment of Dubya) would have been different. <sigh>

2. Looking at the bright side...
71% of Americans have hope for the future.

The other 29% approve of Bush.

3. Huh! Don't you remember History will prove Dubya was a great president!
He'll be vindicated when we're all dead.

7. He wasn't MY President.
And he never will be.
He was an appointed stooge, so a theft of major proportions could take place.

And the first time he shows up on Larry King Live to talk about how wonderful it was to be President?
That's when I throw a beer mug through my big screen.

Bush was not elected but selected with an unhealthy dose of election fraud. BUT, enough Americans aided and abetted the sham as to umleash his inhumane psychosis a upon the World.

George Bush = secret saviour of the democrat party.

Seriously, I can't think of any other high profile political figure that did so much damage to his own party in such a short period of time ( 3 years since he really started to tank after 2005)

13. Doctrines of pre-emptive wars of aggression and torture coupled with
scrapping the rule of law, adding several trillions of dollars of national debt and creating countless trillions of dollars of economic devastation should do the trick nicely, thank you. :P
