ABC: Clinton Appointment Not Done But Close

ABC News "has learned that serious progress has been made on the notion of a Secretary of State Hillary Clinton."

"It is not yet a done deal, but sources say both President-elect Obama and Sen. Clinton are increasingly optimistic that her assignment will happen. And some Democrats say it could happen as early as in the next week."

2. Me too. I hammered her during the primaries but now all that is political water under the bridge.
I have forgiven her and Bill and if Obama wants her then I want her. She will make a fine SoS. What's next..

5. Exactly. If I trust him enough to lead our country, I have to trust him to assemble
his own administration.

looks like some of you will just have to trust Obama's judgment and possibly get used to seeing Hillary again for the next 4 years :D

6. I got to the point of "hating" her during the primaries but now I feel much differenctly.
Her tireless efforts on trail for Obama could have made the difference in several close states -- she helped deliver the "Hillary vote". Also, it's funny but watching Sarah Palin has given me a new view of Hillary -- what an incredible contrast. If these are the top women in their respective parties, we sure have the better deal -- by leaps and bounds.

17. Yes, Palin gave me a whole new appreciation of Hillary.
I really resented Palin trying to make hay from Hillary's long journey. Palin isn't worthy to carry Hillary's slippers.

18. Completely agreed.
When she plowed onto the scene, all "Thanks Hillary and Geraldine!!1" I was like, "Oh HELL no, she didn't just say that!"

10. This is an example of no drama Obama.
He allowed a slow leak of Biden as VP so as not to bash Clinton supporters over the head with it. He gave us time to get used to it. He did the same with this.

11. true, but he gave several options
and let any newspapers/etc, get any stories that they might find on Bayh, Chet Edwards, Biden, or Kaine out there. And Andrea keeps saying that it was not an intentional leak...but then again, as I've stated before, she probably just wants to prop up her journalistic skills, like "I forced it out of them!"
