4. No....it's dogs for his kids..You know, they are trying to find one. I think
it's also a gentle ribbing on his organization/vetting skills. He does it right

7. The November cover is by Bob Staake
Edited on Mon Dec-01-08 09:42 AM by Atman
He's a freakin' genius (and a friend). There is an animated version of this cover on his web site...

http://www.bobstaake.com/nyer/reflection.shtml

Check it out.

9. It is a brilliant cover, though I like the picture version more than the animated version.
I think it's better to see it all at once.

21. Yeah, RE. It's confusing because it has RE taller than Axelrod, but that's just
to get some separation between him and the Obama figure, instead of having them stacked right on top of one another and without any depth perspective.

11. D'ya think the New Yorker is trying to amend for its Obama and Michelle as terrorists cover?
This is a nice cover and the November cover was just inspired. I think they are sorry they ran such a stupid cover during the campaign. It was a real lapse in taste, however ironical it was meant...

14. The New Yorker is just trying to make amends
for it's BS cover of the Obama's as radicals and terrorists right BEFORE the election. I say, screw 'em!

22. The artist has even caught the expressions of the breeds.
Edited on Mon Dec-01-08 01:41 PM by patrice
The Beagle is very sweet; the Boxer is kind of aloof and superior; the Doberman winsome and I can't quite get the Poodle expression.

Definitely a New Yorker keeper cover.

LOL! I hope Obama gets a rescue mutt. It would do so much for rescues! They'd become a hot commodity.

28. I liked the light at the end of the tunnel.
The week after Obama was elected, the cover had a long dark red tunnel with a bright BLUE opening at the end. Very symbolic.
