Jim Martin bringing out the big guns today. Ludacris to stump for him today
Democrat Jim Martin is scheduled to stump with Rep. John Lewis and other prominent Georgia Democrats. Martin will end the day with a rally at the state Capitol with Atlanta rapper Ludacris.

2. You don't think Ludacris would help bring out African American
vote? I'm assuming the racists would automatically go to Chamblis, so...

Just curious...

5. Hey CatWoman... I've been working the phones for
Martin this weekend.... (most unofficially--just making sure all my more politically apathetic former Georgia friends and their friends/colleagues get out there Tuesday if they didn't vote early... I know they all got momentarily infected with the political bug during the Presidential and I think I still have them on the hook--

Fingers crossed for Tuesday! Good luck. ;)

8. Why Ludacris? Why not Bill Cosby?

Are there underlying or subconscious messages?

There ARE (plenty of) Democrats who did not like it when Madaonna opened yer yap and supported Obama. Her stigma probably encouraged some to vote for McCain.

(and I am aware of an irony or two - it's not going to compel me to change anything, apart from this edit that adds my awareness of the awareness :D )

10. My understanding is that Ludacris is a long term Atlanta resident

with considerable popularity/influence in Georgia and wanted to do so.... African American turnout is critical if Martin is to have a chance. From what I've heard, they are disproportionately underrepresented in the early voting thusfar, which raises considerable concerns...

I'm not in Georgia, but following closely, so I yield to any local DUers.

12. I think it's a smart move.
It will help to rally the youth vote.
