There are no "Hillary Supporters" or "Obama Supporters" on DU
Or "Edwards Supporters" or "Richardson Supporters" or "DK Supporters."

That is an artificial designation that hasn't existed on here for a long time -- except by a very small group who for some reason want to keep this divide.

Any glee is because PE Obama has assumed a kick-ass team so far, and because some of the threads lately have been crazed.

I didn't want HRC to accept SOS, and thought up until about a week ago that she wouldn't accept it. So, even I will take a few nibbles of crow.

It really does taste like chicken!

2. There is a small, loud clique
That never healed after the primaries. They have since degenerated into ass-clowns.

6. Yup -- all the rest of us -- FROM ALL SIDES are on board
PE Obama should be held accountable for his decisions, as should everyone in his Admin for their actions. But, we should do it unified, not with an agenda.

I like and admire Hillary Clinton, I won't ever apologize for supporting her during the Primaries, and I shouldn't be expected to. I'm very glad Obama won the Election, and I've been impressed with the team he's assembled (except for Daschle, which is just an odd pick to me!). It's great there's so much talent to choose from. And, even if I don't like the picks (wtf -- Daschle???), I give both PE O and his Cabinet my benefit of the doubt for now.

Yay! The last eight years are past -- we have eight great years ahead!

4. We should call up WASHINGTON JOURNAL on C-SPAN on January 20...
...and tell Mr. and Ms. America and all the ships at sea, "We're all Democrats now."

It has been my belief for a long time that inside every Republican, there is a Democrat trying to get out. Hey, it happened to me.

7. GREAT idea!
And, it happened to my BIL, too. He was a HUGE Bush supporter both times, but became a HUGE Obama supporter this year. I was very proud of him.

9. Can't believe I gave the first rec for this thread. You are quite right.
Those phrases should disappear. We are all democrats who want the best for our country. We want the best and brightest in charge. And we want to win over those republicans who have open minds. I love the picks Obama has made. They show the strength of the democratic party and they show the strength of the nation as a whole.

11. Sigh. I wished it was true. Given what I have read these last few weeks,

I know it is NOT true. I agree that Obama assembled a great team and am full of admiration because he did that, but I am getting tired by the personality cult on DU, and all you have to do is look at some threads with outrageous praise for one person or another to know it is not true.

While I am a little bit weary of the signal that Gates as SecDef will give concerning the ability of Democrats to be strong on security, I find the team he assembled, including Rice, Napolitano, Jones, Holder, Clinton, and Biden, awesome.
