Once upon a time, OBama was ridiculed for his "Change" message by many, But now....
Folks appear to have become experts on exactly what this "Change" is....down to the letter.

Funny how that works.

Memory lane:

1. But now....
.......we expect real change, not just empty promises.

Funny how a successful PR campaign works, aint it?

4. There has already been change, and the man hasn't even been sworn in yet.
But of course, you are still a foe, obviously.

Funny how a successful campaign from a successful candidate who wins elections and becomes the President works....ain't it?

I'll bookmark your comment for when change is happening all over the place, so you can have eggs on your face....possibly again.

Wrong Frenchie Cat.

I was right alongside you here promoting Obama from the start of the primaries.

I will admit though that Im not one to give a pass to the person I supported just because they won.

I expect them to work towards promoting the very things that drew my support in the first place.

That does NOT make me a traitor, it just makes me someone who so believed in the promises made by the candidate that I wont hesitate to hold them accountable.

Im not a blind supporter, so shoot me.

21. What we see is what we all created and it's not always easy to see change...........
when you chose stand in the same place while looking for it. We moved a big heavy rock and what we found underneath was smashed and tattered country. I think we should count how lucky we are that most of us are still alive.
My biggest hope is that many more people will find even more truth because after that everything else is easy

5. If the direction the incoming administration has been taking vs the current one isn't change...
...then you wouldn't recognize chang eif someone slapped you on the face with a whole bag of it.

10. Why so defensive?
I agreed with Frenchie Cat that people didnt understand or want the change Obama was promising at the start of the primaries.

Now Im saying that now they not only understand it, they want the change he was promising.

A blind rat would be "change" away from Bush, but many people now are counting on the change Obama campaigned on.

There is NOTHING WRONG with holding elected officials to honor their campaign promises.

23. Obama didn't promise that "New faces" in his cabinet would be the change.....
Edited on Mon Dec-01-08 06:22 PM by FrenchieCat
he campaigned as himself as a change agent, and policies that would change the country.

But still, there are new faces in the cabinet....especially compared to what we have seen for 8 years....

So, until he is sworn in, he's done quite nicely with change.....to date, IMO.

What has changed, you might ask thus far?

The electoral map for one....

8. Real change is a coming......
By ways of policies....

There has already been change though....it happened on November 4th.
Obama was the first change....as we go from Bush, an asshole dumbass of a Republican who squeaked by on a technicality to OBama, an intelligent and thoughtful Democrat who won 53% of the popular vote.....and 9 previously Republican states.

12. Timetable for withdrawal from Iraq will change? How about the number of the "surge"
going into Afghanistan? "Don't ask, don't tell" change? Raising taxes on the rich, that change?

Those policy changes?

16. I just watched the press conference
and even though I have the flu, I was absolutely tingly that three of the five nominees today are women, and that two are African-American. I especially love the nomination of Susan Rice, a two-fer so to speak. That's some new talent I'm glad Obama is putting to good use.

What also struck me as profound in my haze of funk and cold medication was Obama's grace and humility and also being clearly in charge. What a remarkable mix of admiral qualities in a president. I can't wait to see the Obama Presidency unfold 1-20-09. I'm thinking that he's just gearing up to bring it.

Back to bed. :hi:

In their opinion. Idiots.
