1. As soon as the new Congress is sworn in.

The goal is to have a functional cabinet ready - especially the economic team - on January 20.

I believe January 6 is the day for the new Congress.

2. Sounds like Barack has almost everyone picked.
Isn't Richardson the last of the team to be selected?

4. I read that Beccera's been offered US Trade Rep
That will be interesting if he takes it. He's my Congresscritter and it will be interesting to see who runs for his seat. We're a safe Dem district. This will be cool education for me to learn more about my new district.

6. Never heard of him before now
But I see Gary Locke is also up for that job. He was the first Chinese-American governor and did a lot with trade in Asian markets for Washington state, so he'd be great in that role. He's third generation American, but he speaks some form of Chinese. Probably Mandarin, I think.
