Poll question: Who would you rather have as your next President
Holy Shit People, can you please give Obama two fucking seconds in office before you crucify him for breaking promises he made on the campaign trail.

If you must rage against Obama to such an extent, please ask yourself, who would you rather have as the next President, Obama or Bush Pt.3?

No MAN is perfect but I think that Obama is the far superior choice over McCain.

Feel free to return to your gnashing of teeth over Obama's choice of font on his Presidential Letterhead

Libruls are angst-ridden, soul-searching hippies who purposefully make themselves miserable, even when things are fantastic (as they are right now with our prospective Preznit busting ass just to prepare for the fucking goddamn day he takes office). Makes me proud!

4. I ask my husband the same question every time he tells me "Obama's no different".
Or when my mom tells me Hillary and Obama are both "hypocrites" for teaming up with each other.

5. As official DU contrarian I hereby cast my ballot for "other"...
just because you are trying to make a straw man point....

We are entitled to complain if we like without it meaning that we are disloyal Democrats.

I voted for change and I voted for a progressive, liberal, populist agenda.

I still hold out hope that I may get what I worked and voted for but in the mean time I'm entitled to hold those I elected accountable.

Good day..

Doug D.

7. Just because you'd pick a car with a dirty windshield over a car with four flat tires ...
... doesn't mean you don't clean the windshield.

11. Oh noes, how can you say that????!!!!1!
Nothing Obama does is of any relevance until he is inaugurated. Before that, he's just an ordinary unimportant person like each and every one of us on DU, so stop talking about him so much!!

10. How is this question relevant?
Edited on Wed Dec-03-08 10:56 PM by last_texas_dem
The election is over. Obama is president-elect. Obama is the one who will be making important decisions for (at least) the next four years. Therefore, it's relevant to discuss (which includes both praise and criticism) Obama's choices, decisions, language, actions, etc. If someone is critical of something about Obama, how is the fact that McCain would have been much worse even relevant? Should DU now operate in permanent campaign mode?
