Obama considering making a major foreign policy speech from an Islamic capital
WASHINGTON — President-elect Barack Obama’s aides say he is considering making a major foreign policy speech from an Islamic capital during his first 100 days in office.

1. Which capital?
It would look bad if he went to some oppressive dictatorship. But I can't think of any Islamic countries that are examples of freedom and democracy. The best I can come up with are Turkey and Malaysia, and they both have nasty oppressive streaks. Indonesia? Morocco? Am I forgetting any?

4. Egypt.
I think it was TPM or HuffPo that had a post saying that it would almost have to be Cairo.

Sends a message that it's time for uniting not dividing. At this time, the world could sure use more uniting.
