Why the uproar over the Goddess of Peace becoming SOS? Tis the season to be jolly.

So maybe she's got a few naysayers who are extremely vocal about her, but let's face it, the world as a whole loves her. She is revered outside of this country even more than she is inside this country.

I never thought she would end up becoming SOS despite all the rumors about it, but Barack obviously thinks she'd be an excellent fit for that job. For sure she'll be spreading peace and harmony across the world, and I think that's why Obama wanted her for that position so badly.

Obama and Hillary will be like a one-two knockout punch. Between the two of them, the world is going to be a much better place, so everyone should just calm down for now and look forward to future peace and harmony worldwide. Obama knows what he's doing.

Since it's so close to the holidays, I think it would be the perfect time to see the folks from Coca Cola do another one of those Hilltop commercials. You know....the one where they sing "I'd like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony. I'd like the world to meet my friends, Barack and Hillary"...and so on... :smoke:

I will not pretend to like the Clintons and it would fool no one, but I think that she is in a position where what is good for her is what is good for Obama and more importantly what is good for the world are all the same. I never doubted her intelligence or ability, though I don't see her as a natural diplomat. I hope that the entire team will be able to repair the damage that was inflicted in the last 8 years and beyond.

took an idealistic folkie song and turned it into selling Pepsi - which was a major leap. Pepsi is not world peace! (I assume they were anticipating the Thomas Friedman observation that no two countries which both have McDonalds have attacked each other - though I think that is no longer true.)

It was actually the New Seekers - I had forgotten who did it as well until I goggled for the song. then googled to find the relationship to the Seekers, who had some nice songs earlier in the 1960s. I also found out that it was a Coke song first - that they adapted!
